Henna

This is my second time doing a henna treatment on Dominique. ( I named my hair, Dominique.) I love color. Instead of dying it, I choose to continue doing my henna treatments. Not only does it give color but it is also great for the overall health of my hair. So, of course I was sold. Even tho, I REALLLLLLY want to dye my hair pink and purple for the summer... Hmmm maybe next time

This is my mini length check before I started the henna process

Henera Henna

My handy dandy ingredients. I really didn't measure I just added as I thought I needed to aka "eyeballed it". I wanted it to be the consistency of a thick pudding.

Ingredients:
1 Henera Henna Package in Brown (because I wanted the reddish tint)
2bags of black tea in 1 for so of water
Yes to Carrots Conditioner
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Honey (just a dab)

Mix by hand or toss it in the blender.
Cover with saran Wrap and let sit in fridge overnight

To apply it to my hair, I smooshed it thru my hair until all of it was gone. Then, I wrapped my hair with Saran Wrap and slept in it overnight. WARNING!!! This is seriously messy process. NO matter how neat you are... This will end up with some kind of mess. Case and Point... After it was rapped, It leaked from under the Saran Wrap. I had to cover my head with other protective coverings and cover my pillow cases to keep from staining them with the seepage. I made sure to wear gloves, put newspaper down and had extra towels handy and it still was a mess. Due to the benefits, I overlook the mess and just plan for it.

Results:

Twist Out

If I remember, before bed I try to either twist it (or braid it) and slap a satin cap on to protect it from my cotton pillow cases. Cotton pillow cases are not your hairs friend at all. But until I finally go buy some or make some satin pillow cases... I will be slapping that cap on and rocking out...

XOXO, Tina
