Miss Vibrant Thang

As a fellow natural, I find it awesome when I meet other cool naturals. In the process, I decided to feature different naturals and showcase their beauty in hopes that the world will view them the way that I do... FLAWLESS!!! From transitioners to bc'ers (people who do the big chop- meaning to cut all of the damaged or relaxed hair from their natural hair) to lifelong naturals. I want to show every aspect of being natural. It's amazing to hear others perspective of what it means to be natural. In my opinion, there's no wrong way to be natural. I adore color & various styles but that may not be for everyone. That is truly something that I can respect. So here, I want to explore it all: weaves, locs...EVERYTHING. Simply because my journey may not be your journey and vice versa.

Natural Beauty Highlight
Kimbery Marshall A.K.A Lashea Vibez

My first natural is Kimberly Marshall also known on YouTube as Lashea Vibez!! She is such a awesome soul. I met her working at a mutual job. She started the conversation asking about my hair aka Dominique bka Nique Nique. and our bond just blossomed from there.
Here's her interview and some photos
1. Who is LaShea Vibez? LaSheaVibez is a girl that loves, beauty, natural hair, fashion, make up and fabulous vacations. LaShea is my middle name and since I'm always so spunky and energe I like to bring a positive Vibez to people and my life. I work multiple jobs and I have a youtube channel. I'm an international world class traveler. I'm a youtube vlogger I have www.youtube.com/lasheavibez
I've always been a free spirit, easy going and always dance to the beat of my own drum.

2. How long have you been natural? I have always been natural, I just didn't wear it. I wore lots of weaves, sew ins and braids.

3.What's your routine for your hair? With my natural hair, I'm very basic I usually wear it in an afro or a afro puff, very simple. When I want to change it up a bit I usually hit my local Beauty Supply store for a fabulous afro wig or get some fabulous braids done by my braider Dianne.

4.  What are your go to products for your hair? I love all Shea Moisture products, I use some of the Uncle Funkys products and Miss Jessies. There are no real products or ingredients I stay away from I just usually choose to stick with what works.

5. What would be your advice for newly naturals? Your hair texture is what is its, all the curly moisturers don't change your pattern be comfortable with the texture you have. Don't compare your hair, hair texture or growth to another natural. Your hair is yours and will differ from others. Keep it simple, stay patient and enjoy the journey.

6.What, if any, has been the reaction to your hair? Have there been any negative comments from family or co-workers? I have never had a problems with my hair. Actually most of my co workers have gone natural and we share hair and product information. It's not that serious, it's just hair.

All On Mardi Gras Day!!!!

If you know me fairly well, then you know I LOVE NEW ORLEANS!!! Every chance I get to break away from the monotony of daily hum drum life I am zooming on my way to "Tha City". Most times when the Mardi Gras season rolls around I am usually tied up in a zillion things that end of prohibiting me from going and having a ball.. NOT THIS YEAR!!! We rolled out Sunday night. Bright and early Monday morning (Lundi Gras) I was in my favorite place amped up about all the things I was about to get into.  I made sure nothing was going to stop me from my first Mardi Gras cherry poppin ceremony!!! Not weather, kids, illness, clothes, shoes... Nothing.. Lundi Gras or Mnoday evening we were scheduled to see the truck parades in Metairie,LA but just my luck they were cancelled. Boy was I pissed but I digress...
So what do you do when in Rome, or New Orleans for that matter... DO as the Romans do !! We grabbed seafood from Cajun's and sat the weather out. I am a totall crawfish FIEND so I made sure to get my fill since I hadn't had a fix ina few years. There is only one spot we got to when we want boiled seafood and that's Cajun's. Good thing for us they have 2 locations; one on the eastbank and one of the Westbank!!

Drive By Shot of the Dome!!!
Even the Superdome was lit for the occasion!!!
Tuesday morning couldn't come fast enough for me. I was worse than the kids. Totally amped!!! Here are my favorite shots from the Zulu and Rex parades. And yes I caught boocoo beads and several coconuts. ( no I did not have to show my boobs either!!!) Mardi Gras is steeped in tradiotion and is about more that partying and fun. But for me this rip was ALLl about partying and fun!! Good TIMES!!!

Hey Daddy, Move ya head out my shot!!

All on Mardi Gras Day!!! Drinks up!!

Baby he danced every chance he got...

He kept smiling every time I took out my camera so i figured I should just go ahead and take the shot so he can quit.. Hahah
Ladies and Gentleman here's Dr. DJ!!

ZULU Has Begun!!! YASS!!

That ain't just juice in that cup.. or is it? Hmmm

  Thanks For my coconut, Mr!!!

  Allright, nahh!!
  GO head and work ladies!!!

  He on it!!!

This was just Zulu parades. It was raining and honestly I don't think anyone even noticed! I had a great time. I am still, according to my sister... still,  not fully cherry less when it comes to the whole Mardi Gras experience.. I am just on 1st base of it all...

Hope you loved these as much as I did.. Til next time
