Our gorgeous 1st lady vacationed in Spain recently. I am still trying to figure out why there is such a commotion about this. I have read several other blogs and new reports about how low class she is and she's spending taxpayer money... SERIOUSLY!!!I am not a big political buff but this is really out of hand. If she wears $300+ sneakers, she's too spendy if she's in a Gap dress.. she's not classy enough. I give her kudos for just being who she is under all this pressure. They are an awesome couple, always showing love and support for one another. What's so wrong with her take a little time away with her friends? Everyone is not suffering during this economic "situation" as I like to call it. Just a short while ago, BEFORE she entered the White House.. She already had money. Another little tid bit of info... the salary for the President is not as much as people may think. Simply put, before this job and AFTER this job She will be financially stable. She will be able to continue to take trips as she so chooses. This job did not make her... She was already made.
Where was all these comments when previous Presidents were spending excessively and going on golfing and fishing trip during Natural Disasters? The Obamas have been to The Gulf Coast,, How many times?
Another little known fact, Secret Service has the final say on where 1st Lady and her"entourage" stays... which makes total sense. If you have a problem with Secret Service doing their job.. then sounds more like this thing is personal for you. All the accusations and harsh things said about this vacation have no validity. She had a meeting with Spain's Royal Family... In a time where they advised AFRO-AMERICANS to stay away from Spain. Now that's what I call grace under fire.
In closing, I love that I have a 1st Lady in office who inspires me to stand tall even when the haters throw rocks at me and to always be graceful. 1st Lady Obama, this kudos is for you.
